Why do you need unrestricted funds?

  1. There are certain core expenses of your organisation, which may not be funded by any donor. 
  2. There are certain policy advocacy related activities, which donors may not be willing to fund but as an NGO it is important to undertake such activities, as it is required to achieve the mission of your organisation.
  3. In certain projects, there are components like your organisation contribution, which is mandatory to get a project grant. Whether this is done in cash or in kind, you will still need some funds for this.
