Sometimes referred to as the results chain, the Logic Model is a representation of the cause and effect relationships between the activities, outputs, and results of a policy or program. A Logic Model has six levels (inputs, activities, outputs, results, immediate, intermediate results and ultimate results), each representing a distinct step in the logic of cause and effect of a policy or program. The bottom three levels (inputs, activities and outputs) describe HOW a program will be carried out while the top three levels (results) represent the actual CHANGES that are taking place, such as for example, development results.
