Yes, Support for Civil Society Foundation, in cooperation with the Turkey Mozaik Foundation, has recently launched an emergency fund to help Izmir and surrounding areas hit by the earthquake.
Izmir Earthquake Emergency Support Fund was established to support non-governmental organizations (NGOs) operating in the field after the earthquake, whose epicenter was determined as the Aegean Sea on October 30, 2020. The fund will be distributed as a grant in order to cover the works carried out by NGOs in the field within the framework of a project and the operational expenses required for the implementation of these works.
The total amount of grant to be distributed within the scope of Izmir Earthquake Emergency Support Fund is at least 200,000 TL. Within the scope of the fund, support will be provided for the realization of medium and long-term activities as well as meeting the urgent needs determined by NGOs in the field.
Considering the urgency of the needs in the region and the intensity of NGOs working in the field, the application processes for the Izmir Earthquake Emergency Support Fund will be simpler and faster than our other funds. Accordingly, the application form prepared to collect applications to the fund is aimed at understanding the relevant activities of NGOs in the best possible way and has been simplified in order not to impose an additional burden on their field work.
Applicant NGOs can request a minimum of 70,000 TL and a maximum of 100,000 TL from the grant program. Co-financing is possible and there are no restrictions on this.
Applications to the Emergency Earthquake Fund will be accepted until 10:00 on Wednesday, November 11, 2020.
